Public Displays of Convention by Sarahbeth Caplin

I received this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review, I gave ‘Public Displays of Convention‘ 4 stars and here is why:

If you’re accustomed to the works by great literary authors such as Jane Eyre – Then you will fall in love with this book, it has all the elements of the classics but with a twist of modernism that brings it in into the 21st century. It is an unconventional romance that has a bit of feminism which makes you want to scream such things as ‘ You go girl!‘ and ‘You don’t need a man’ whilst reading it.

You follow the story of Anna-Kate a post grad literary student with a love for books that I can certainly relate to. After AK is dumped by her no good boyfriend via text, she is struggling to to find a way back to who she really. If you’re after a touch of romance then your in luck but also kind of out of luck because Anna-Kate really doesn’t know what she’s looking for any more. She gets a job at a local indie bookshop which is full of characters that help Anna-Kate through her journey of self recovery.

This is a truly brilliant read and if you’re going through a break up, you will find strength you never knew you had!

Well done! Sarahbeth you have created a strong protagonist that every woman can relate to!
